ITF Appoints New Director for West Africa

Mariama Ka has a diversified and rich background in finance, economics, digital trade, international development, and partner engagement. With a BSBA in finance and International Relations from Suffolk University in Boston, Mariama is a candidate for the Executive Specialized master’s in finance at HEC Paris. Mariama has served for the State Department with US Embassy Dakar for seven years, where she helped digitalize the financial and procurement systems as well as in supporting the development goals of the economic sections. She managed the integration of acquisition plan as the Head contracting officer at Pfizer Pharmaceutical, and kept abreast of customs requirements in target import/export countries. During her service with Citigroup both in Dakar and in Boston, she participated in major forex transactions and was the POC with the American Chamber of Commerce to create a franchise network for Citibank across Francophone West Africa Mariama will assist ITF clients to expand their distribution and financing capabilities in Senegal and West Africa.
