ITF APPOINTS NEW LEGAL COUNSEL AND VICE PRESIDENT, INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT BASED IN DUBAI

Anthony Raftopol, has been appointed as a Legal Counsel and Vice President, International Development for ITF. He is a Middle East-based, United States-trained international lawyer and finance specialist focusing for almost 30 years on cross-border transactions involving corporate and institutional projects in the emerging markets of Eastern Europe, the Middle East and N. Africa.  

In this capacity, Anthony has been engaged in numerous fields, including banking and finance, project finance, power generation, renewable fuels, construction, applied sciences, oil & gas, real estate and infrastructure development.  He has also spent several years as C-level management and general counsel to several publicly-registered and private investment funds in the energy, agriculture and biomedical sectors.  In these roles, Anthony manages multiple aspects of day-to-day fund operations, including regulatory compliance, capital raising, target diligence and M&A transactions, as well as investor, joint venture, banking, vendor and government relationships.

 

Anthony is also the Managing Partner of Ternir Group, an Amsterdam-based legal consulting firm, and has been previously employed at several international law firms, including Salans (now Dentons), MENA Legal in Dubai and Herzfeld & Rubin, P.C. in New York City.  He is currently a member of the Bar of the State of New York, and a former member of the Bar of Bucharest, Romania.  He is a graduate of Northwestern University and the Boston University School of Law, in the U.S.  In addition to his native English, Mr. Raftopol speaks and/or works in several other European languages.
